Premium Account
Premium accounts unlock additional features, towns, spells, outfits, mounts, and travel routes. Premium time can be purchased or obtained via Premium Scrolls (item ID 14758).
Obtaining Premium
- Premium Scroll (Item ID 14758) — Using it grants 30 days of premium time. Cannot use if already has ≥365 days. Consumes 1 scroll on use.
- FREE_PREMIUM env — Server administrators can set
FREE_PREMIUM=1 to make all accounts premium.
- Real-time expiry — Premium expires on wall-clock time, not play time.
is_premium() checks premium_until > now.

Non-premium players found in a premium town on login are teleported to the nearest free town with a system message: "Your premium time has expired! You have been moved from {premium} to {free}."

Client UI
- Premium badge — Header shows ⭐ Nd (active) or ☆ Free (inactive). Clickable to open Premium panel.
- Premium panel — Status card (days remaining, expiry date), benefits grid (8 features with lock/unlock icons), town access grid, how-to-get-premium info, loyalty days purchased.
- Outfit window — Premium outfits/mounts shown at 50% opacity with 🔒 icon.
- NPC shop window — Premium travel routes show "🔒 Premium required".
