Wiki — Augments & Fragments
The Augment system allows you to customize weapons with passive bonuses. Dismantle unwanted items for fragments, then craft new gear from fragment recipes.
Augment Slots
Each weapon type has augment slots that can be unlocked and filled with augments:
- Request Augment State: View your current augment slots and socketed augments for a weapon type.
- Unlock Augment Slot: Spend a proficiency perk to unlock a new augment slot.
- Socket Augment: Place an augment into an unlocked slot.
- Remove Augment: Remove an augment from a slot (frees it for reassignment).
Fragment Workshop
The Fragment Workshop lets you dismantle items and craft new ones from fragments:
- Dismantle Item: Destroy an item to receive fragments. Higher-tier items yield more fragments.
- Craft from Fragment Recipe: Use fragments (and sometimes other materials) to craft new items.
- Request Workshop State: View your current fragment count and available recipes.
Fragment Sources
- Dismantling equipment items (weapons, armor, accessories)
- Higher rarity items (Rare, Unique) yield more fragments
- Corrupted items yield special fragments
Augment Types
Different augment types provide different bonuses when socketed into a weapon:

| Vorpal | +5% critical hit chance |
| Slaying | +10% damage to a specific monster race |
| Elemental | Converts 20% of damage to an element |
| Leech | Heal 3% of damage dealt |
| Swift | +10% attack speed |
| Piercing | +15% armor penetration |
