Elven Magic Master Sylph
Greeting
"Sylph's Enchantments. Nature magic, woven into every item."
Dialogue Topics
Town
An ancient elven kingdom founded in the Second Age by elves who refused to abandon the mortal world during the Celestial War. The songstones preserve records older than any human city.
Training
I train those who would defend Silverwood. The threats here are real -- you'll need every skill you can learn.
advice
Start with the cellar -- the rats and spiders are easy prey for a beginner. Once you've proven yourself, Captain Reynald can sail you to the mainland.
Threat
Dark Elf Lord Vaelith, once a Silverwood prince, has returned with dark elves. He's sabotaging the wardstones from within -- the grove's protection is failing, and the Corruptor's next target after Silverwood is Dunespire.
Government
Lady Sylvara rules as elven lady, advised by Bard Thandril and the elven masters. The wardstones maintain the grove's protection -- when they fall, the grove falls.
Market
Elven weapons, elven armor, elven magic -- all forged with techniques older than the Third Age. The songstones contain records of the Celestial War -- knowledge worth more than any weapon.
Corruption
The wardstones are being sabotaged from within. Vaelith knows our defenses -- he helped build them. The songstones warn of the Corruptor's return, but the warning was written in the Second Age. We thought it was history. It was prophecy.
Faction
The Grove -- we are the ancient order of the forests. The Ashen Order burns what they fear. We preserve what we love. That is the difference between elves and demon hunters.
Darkling Stalkers
The darkling stalkers appeared when the wardstones began to fail. They're creatures of shadow -- not natural, not undead, something in between. Lady Sylvara says they're the Corruptor's scouts, testing the wardstones' boundaries. Where the wards are weakest, the darklings are thickest.
Forest Shades
The forest shades are the ghosts of Silverwood's ancient trees -- trees that died when the corruption seeped in. They drift through the grove at night, wailing in a language older than the elves. Bard Thandril says the songstones can translate their cries. He says they're warning us. He says they're saying 'it's coming from below.'
Phantom Stalkers
The phantom stalkers are worse than the darklings. They're invisible until they strike -- and by then, you're already bleeding. The elven wardens have lost three scouts to them. Lady Sylvara believes they're Dark Elf Lord Vaelith's creations, bred in the underground grove where he sabotages the wardstones.
