Celestial Trainer Mikael
Greeting
"Mikael. The celestial guardian fights with light itself. Few mortals can withstand it."
Dialogue Topics
Town
A fortress-city above the clouds, built in the First Age as the gods' throne. White stone and golden light. Hidden for a thousand years -- now revealed, and under siege.
Training
I train those who would defend Celestial Citadel. The threats here are real -- you'll need every skill you can learn.
advice
The Fallen One was defeated once by vigilance. Practice vigilance.
Threat
The Fallen One, Azrakael, assaults the Citadel with fallen angels and corrupted celestials. Five shrines have been defiled. The Corruptor's avatar waits in the Sky Temple. And the Abyssal Rift below is where the Fallen One was cast out -- it's tearing open.
Government
Archangel Zariel commands the celestial host. The Citadel is under martial law -- there is no other law when the enemy is at the gates. The celestials are warriors of divine purpose, not politicians.
Trade
Celestial weapons, divine blessings, and the Key of Ascension. The teleport maze guards the inner sanctum. What we offer cannot be bought with gold -- only with worth.
Corruption
The Fallen One was the greatest celestial -- now he is the Corruptor's lieutenant. He corrupted a third of the celestials. The five shrines that protected the Citadel have been defiled. The Corruptor's avatar is a projection -- the true Corruptor lies in the Heart of the Void, six layers below.
Faction
The Celestial Court -- divine purpose and the war against the Corruptor. We have no enemies among mortals. We have one enemy, and it is older than the world.
The Fallen Seraphs
The fallen seraphs were once the celestial host's finest warriors -- brothers and sisters of Zariel, Seraphiel, and the other archangels. Azrakael the Fallen One corrupted them, turning their holy power against them. They walk the Sky Temple now, their golden wings blackened, their holy light turned to death. Archangel Zariel says killing them is mercy. She says they're in pain. She says she recognizes every one of their faces.
The Corrupt Seraphs
The corrupt seraphs are worse than the fallen ones. They're not just twisted -- they're willing. They chose Azrakael's side in the Celestial War, and they serve him still. They wield corrupted holy power -- blessings that burn, wards that imprison, light that kills. Seraphiel says they're the most dangerous enemies in the Citadel. They know the Citadel's defenses. They helped build them.
The Void Serpent
The void serpent coils through the Sky Temple's lower levels -- a creature of pure void energy, summoned by Azrakael to undermine the Citadel's foundations. It's not a physical being. It's a tear in reality, shaped like a snake. Uriel says it's eating the wards that keep the Citadel aloft. If it succeeds, the Citadel falls. And everything below it burns.
The Abyssal Dragon
The abyssal dragon is Azrakael's mount -- a great beast of void and death, the corrupted remains of a celestial dragon. It circles the Citadel's spires, breathing death on the defenders. Archangel Zariel says it was once the Celestial Court's noblest dragon. Azrakael rode it into battle when he was still an angel. Now it serves the void. She says killing it will pain her. She says she'll do it anyway.
The Void Behemoth
The void behemoth has reached the Citadel. The same creature that guards the Sunken Empire's trench has climbed from the abyssal rift below the Citadel, bringing the void's full force against the celestial host. It's massive -- too large for the corridors it walks through, but the void doesn't care about physics. It cares about destruction. And it's very good at destruction.
The Dracolich
A dracolich has appeared in the Citadel -- the same kind of void-puppet dragon that haunts the Sunken Empire's trench. But this one is different. It wears the bones of a celestial dragon -- one of the original dragons who served the gods. Azrakael found its remains in the rift and raised it. Zariel says it's an abomination. She says it must be destroyed, even though its bones deserve rest. Even in death, the Corruptor's influence denies the dead their peace.
