Bard Thandril
Greeting
"Ah, a visitor! I am Thandril, bard of Silverwood, keeper of the songstones. But my music has fallen silent -- the songstones have been stolen from their shrine. The trail leads into the deep forest. Will you help me recover them?"
Dialogue Topics
Darkling Stalkers
The darkling stalkers appeared when the wardstones began to fail. They're creatures of shadow -- not natural, not undead, something in between. Lady Sylvara says they're the Corruptor's scouts, testing the wardstones' boundaries. Where the wards are weakest, the darklings are thickest.
Forest Shades
The forest shades are the ghosts of Silverwood's ancient trees -- trees that died when the corruption seeped in. They drift through the grove at night, wailing in a language older than the elves. Bard Thandril says the songstones can translate their cries. He says they're warning us. He says they're saying 'it's coming from below.'
Phantom Stalkers
The phantom stalkers are worse than the darklings. They're invisible until they strike -- and by then, you're already bleeding. The elven wardens have lost three scouts to them. Lady Sylvara believes they're Dark Elf Lord Vaelith's creations, bred in the underground grove where he sabotages the wardstones.
songstones
The stones sang a new verse last night. Nobody taught it to them. I believe it is called an ending.
songstones
You sang them in order -- the Fall, the Sealing, the Silence. The grove remembers now; ask any elf, the stones have been humming your name in the chord they keep for keepers of the old verses.
songstones
The songstones have been stolen! Find 5 of them scattered in the forest.
hall
The Hall of Songstones remembers what songs alone cannot. Bring me rare wonders -- true rarities, not trinkets -- and I will inscribe them in your name forever.
donate
Stand before me and offer a Rare treasure or greater. It will be destroyed, yes -- but its name, its maker's luck, and your name will be written in the Hall's ledger for all time.
ledger
Each gift is recorded: the item, the day, the donor. Five pieces and the Hall calls you Curator. Fifty, and your voice joins the Hall itself.
thin_place
Every songstone in the grove stands on a crack in the world. The First War ended here because the veil was already torn -- it took less to push the Corruptor's legions back through. The stones sing the verses still, if you stand between them and listen. Three songs. In order. They will not forgive the wrong order.
