Archmage Seraphine
Greeting
"The Aetherian Forge does not only shape metal -- it reforges what a soul can hold. My predecessor learned that in the Third Age. I perform the ritual still, for those who understand the price."

soul_forge
The Soul Forge takes an entire branch of your magic -- healing, elemental, blessing, or curse -- and consumes it as fuel. What remains burns brighter: the spells you keep grow fearsome. But the sacrificed knowledge does not fade. It is gone.
ritual
The soul has a finite capacity for magical knowledge. Sacrifice a branch and the capacity is reforged into the rest. To master everything is to master nothing. Choose what you will be, and the Forge will make you more of it.
predecessor
My predecessor discovered the ritual in the Third Age, when the elves first learned that knowledge itself could feed the Forge. She wrote only one warning: 'The Forge does not care which branch you burn. Choose the one you will not mourn.'
aetherian_forge
Silverwood's forge is cousin to Ironhold's Forge of Binding -- both older than the towns around them, both holding a fire that is not entirely of this world. The elves shape soul and spell where the dwarves shape steel.
town
Silverwood sings while the world sickens. Lady Sylvara keeps the court's courtesies; Bard Thandril keeps the old songs. Listen to them -- the songstones remember the First War, and the First War is not finished.
thin_place
You feel it too? The thinness. Silverwood sits where the mortal realm and the Soul War overlap -- the same wound, two names. My Forge drinks from that seam. When I burn a spell-category out of a sworn soul, it is the Soul War's fire that does the burning.
