Wiki — Map Discovery & Live Map
Chart the world as you explore it — zone discovery, minimap markers, shared live positions, and waypoints that sync between the portal and your client.
Zone Discovery (Fog of War)
- Entering a hunting zone's territory for the first time discovers it — a celebration banner and a "You have discovered X!" message mark the moment.
- Discovered zones are permanent: your explored-zone set is saved to your account and restored on every login.
- Unexplored zones stay hidden under fog on the map; discovery reveals them permanently.
- Individual map sectors are also tracked as you walk — the Cyclopedia-style map view shows exactly which ground you've covered on each floor.
Minimap Markers
- Party dots — every member of your party appears on the minimap in real time, refreshed about once per second.
- Boosted ★ — the daily boosted creature is starred on the minimap so you can spot it in a crowded spawn.
- Map pins — drop your own pins on the map; they persist across sessions and devices.
Live World Map (Portal)
- The portal World Map shows a live overlay: dots for online players and markers for today's boosted creature and boosted boss (placed at the heart of their spawn zones).
- Player dots are opt-in. Enable Live Map Share in your client settings and your position appears to anyone viewing the map; leave it off and you stay invisible. Only surface-floor positions are shown.
- Sharing is per-character and instant — toggle it on or off at any time.
Waypoints & Guide Arrow
- On the portal quest list, the Set Waypoint button sends the quest-giver NPC's position straight to your client — no coordinates to memorize.
- Your in-client Guide Arrow picks the waypoint up automatically and points you there, clearing itself on arrival. It works even if you're offline when it's set — the route is waiting on next login.
- Waypoints, map pins, market alert rules, and your watchlist all live in per-character cloud storage, shared between the web client and the native client.
Cloud-Synced Settings
- UI layout, hotkeys, and chat tab configuration are persisted server-side and pushed to every session — play on the web client, then pick up the native client or a second device and your layout follows you.
- A second connected session receives live echoes of settings changes, so both stay in sync.
