Factions & Reputation Guide
Aetheria has 10 factions, each with their own towns, ideals, and rivalries.
The 10 Factions
1. Crown — The royal authority, aligned with capital cities
2. Syndicate — Underground network, opposes the Crown
3. Grove — Nature worshippers, protectors of the wild
4. Ashen Order — Fire and destruction, opposes the Grove
5. Deep — Subterranean dwellers, miners and forgers
6. Celestial Court — Holy order, divine magic
7. Dune Sentinels — Desert guardians
8. Frostbound — Northern ice warriors
9. Tidecaller's Children — Coastal seafarers
10. Dawnport Council — Trading guild, neutral merchants
Opposing Factions
- Crown vs Syndicate — The central political conflict
- Grove vs Ashen Order — Nature vs destruction
Gaining reputation with one faction may reduce standing with its opposite.

Advanced: Reputation Optimization
To maximize shop discounts:
1. Focus on quests from your preferred faction's towns
2. Check the faction field on each quest in the wiki
3. Plan your questing route to hit multiple same-faction quests
4. Avoid quests from opposing factions if you want to maintain high standing
At Exalted (1000+ rep), you get 15% off all NPC shop prices in that faction's towns — a massive saving over time.
Tips
- Check which faction a town belongs to on the Towns page
- The Quests wiki shows faction alignment for each quest
- Plan your questing to build reputation with your chosen faction
- Neutral factions (like Dawnport Council) are safe to quest for without political consequences
