The Shadow Demon is one of the Fallen One's most powerful servants ' a celestial who fell with Azrakael during the Celestial War, corrupted into a creature of pure darkness. It dwells in the shadow realm beneath the Celestial Citadel, feeding on the light it once served. Its presence weakens the Citadel's barriers, and the celestials have been unable to banish it. Only a mortal with the Key of Ascension can enter the shadow realm and destroy it. Its corruption spreads through the shadows of the Citadel, turning light to darkness.
